Psysex (Udi Sternberg / Egohunter Rec.)

Psysex is a psytrance project whose journey began in the 1990s. From a young age, Udi Sternberg, also known as DJ Goblin, had a deep connection to music. He started DJing at the age of 16 and opened his first studio at 18.

In 1998, the first Psysex release came out: the vinyl 4 Days of Madness. It featured two tracks – “4 Days of Madness” with Dave Saragosi and “Alien Cop” with Josef Quinteros of GMS.

The name “Psysex” originated from the constant SysEx MIDI errors they encountered while working in the studio.

Around the same time, Udi and Yoni Oshrat started the project Children of the Doc. While Udi was planning his first psytrance album, they created the track “L.S.Dance” together and decided Yoni would officially join Psysex.

Together they released Expressions of Rage, followed by two more albums: Hardcore Blastoff and Come in Peace. In 2005, they decided it was time to explore different musical directions and continue on separate paths.

Since then, Udi has continued developing Psysex, pushing innovative psychedelic sounds forward over the years. He released three additional Psysex albums — Healing, Mind Penetration, and 2020 — while also working on other projects such as Bio Babas and Doctor Goblin.

In 2013, Udi founded Egohunter Records. Today, he celebrates more than 20 years of Psysex, continuing to produce new music while also handling mixing and mastering for artists released on the label.

A new Psysex album has recently been announced, with the release date still to be confirmed, though it is expected sometime in 2026.
